The pictures of Villa 4 Vientos make it look as if it’s all in its own. In fact it’s surrounded on three sides by a road to Carratraca. Admittedly a local road. The villa was not clean and we had to wash all plates and cutlery before we used them. There was no hot water. This was fortunately remedied quickly the following day by a plumber. The smart tv didn’t work. The owner spent three hours reinstalling the software but it still didn’t work. Disappointing. The whole property needs maintenance and updating.
The photos are absolutely accurate- you cannot see the lane as the villa sits above it, and it is indeed a quiet lane with very little traffic, but which gives superb access to the village and the connecting main road to Malaga. I visited 3 times in the first 3 days and whilst there was a problem with hot water not reaching all taps, (notified at 19.30- fixed by 10.30 the next morning) . there was no mention of the place not being clean and having to wash all the dishes. If I had been notified, I would obviously have re-called my cleaner as I pay very well for top service. The SMART TV (only 6 months old) was reported as not working- we believe the previous guests had altered the settings- my husband spent 3 hours fixing it, and when he left it was working- no further mention of this. I do not see how they can complain about "quick and proper communication" or "service from arrival to departure"- all emails were answered within a few hours, when there was a problem at the villa which was notified to me, we were there immediatley. I do not comprehend how the area can be described as not living up to expectations- it is a beautiful V Cultural village with stunning views, the area is renowed for its` beauty- maybe these guests wanted a city break, which this definately is not- but neither is it described as such. I feel it would have been far more appropriate to let me know about a problem with the cleaning, so it could have been resolved. I ask future guests to inform me of any deficiencies (normal practice, I would suggest) rather than complain after the fact.

Stayed here for 3 week in Christmas break. Very nice property in lovely area and Eryl and Roland were brilliant: from settling in and meeting on arrival, information on the area and extra wet day things to do, to organising extra wood for the fire and even helping organising a phone when I lost mine. Nothing was too much trouble it seemed. The area iss fantastic - loads of outdoor activities to get involved in, and also great bars and restaurants to eat in (and cheaply!!). Hoping to get back next year and would recommend going with them, or their properties
This villa has fab views and is well equipped. Cooking facilites easy to use should you want to cook. Plenty of hot water, good powerful showers in bathrooms. Ad says a bathroom but in fact has two shower rooms. Villa has good size bedrooms so great for two couples or a family. The pool is lovely - although not really suited to younger families as it is quite close to patio doors. The walk up to the village is worth the climb but be aware there are no street lights on lower half of walk so a torch is a necessity for returning in the dark. Village very friendly and has small supermarkets for every day needs. Our second visit to this area so we knew Eryl and Roland were helpful and on hand to help. Directions from airport are easy to follow.

Villa Quatro Vientos – We have recently returned from a two week holiday in this villa - What a lovely setting for a villa the views are stunning, The ten minutes walk up the goat tracks are very steep but well worth the walk with the added bonus of a nice cold beer when you get there. There are some nice restaurants/bars Parador, El Trillo, all serving great food (but make sure you have a phrase book as all menus are in Spanish)but great fun wondering what you have ordered and very friendly staff. The villa is equipped with everything you could need except if you are planning on eating el fresco at the villa there could be a better barbeque. The pool was lovely to take a dip in although a bit cold but the kids didn’t seem to mind. We visited Malaga and Marbella but the best place was Rhonda although the road to here is very winey, but by far the best place to visit was the ‘Spanish Lake district’ which was breathtaking, the kids enjoyed it that much we returned on 3 occasions (so much better than any beach) We would definatly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to experience the ‘real’ spain and to get away from it all. Thank you Eryl and Roland
